It has been fun reading about your experiences. I am so glad you have shared your time will all of us. Good luck on your return trip, I know it will be with mixed emotions. Iowa welcomes you back with open arms.

Hi Cait. I was just reading your blog because my sister, Parisa Kharazi, just left for Botswana today with the Peace Corp and was curious to see what people thought about their experiences. I do hope you get to meet her. Your blogs are amazing! I would like to send her some things so please tell me stuff that your mom has sent you that you find very helpful. Thank you. sara.kharazi@gmail.com

Regards from your friends at the Iowa Department of Public Health. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you in Des Moines, but have been an Iowa-Bots friend the last 2 years. Thanks so much for the blogs & photos. I admire your strength and grace. Good luck on your transition to American society - be patient with those of us whose priorities are not influenced by a true third-world experience. Kudos to you and your almost-earned honorable credential: RPCV. Lucia

My husband and I just got our assignment for Botswana leaving in April 2010.

We have ten days to make our decision. Any helpful info from someone in the trenches would be appreciated. We are 55 and 65 yrs and going as a couple.

Any comments on job, country, training etc would be great.
