The Journey of a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana

Greetings to All!

Dumela borre le bomma! Welcome to my blog. My name is Caitlin and I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) who just finished serving two years in Botswana. I spent two years living in a large village working in HIV Prevention and other community activites.

My journey to become a Peace Corps Volunteer began in June of 2006, looking at the application, beginning to ask for references, some initial soul searching, etc.   I submitted my application in January of 2007 and recieved my inivitation to serve that November. I left for Botswana on April 18th, 2008.  It was long and very thorough process, but something I would do all over again given the chance.

So, welcome.  Welcome to my blog and thank you for sharing in my adventure.  So many people in my life have provided endless support and without them I could not have gotten as far as I have.  So, thank you, thank you very much.

Sala Sentle! (Stay Well!)

Caitlin
